About Our School
Propel Hazelwood will encourage scholars by supporting their passions and encouraging their dreams. Through critical thinking, evidence-based understanding and innovation, we accomplish this through a meaningful, collaborative, academically rigorous, intellectual community. Our scholars will graduate with increased college and career readiness, empowered with critical thinking skills, effective communication abilities, and an appreciation for the Arts needed to be successful lifelong learners.
WHAT WE DO
- Develop scholar growth in academics, the Arts, to produce highly effective and educated individuals by instilling in them the values of respect, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.
- Maintain a core relationship among family, school, and the community by instilling a sense of trust and fostering an atmosphere of respect.
- Celebrate each child’s individuality as well as their academic and social gains.
WE ARE A COMMUNITY SCHOOL
Propel Hazelwood is designated as a community school. Through a set of partnerships with other community resources, Propel Hazelwood maintains an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement. Scholars are physically, socially and emotionally healthy. Scholars learn in a safe and supportive environment.
This approach leads to improved scholar learning while supporting stronger families and healthier communities. Community schools contain a host of opportunities and supports built in that give scholars and families the tools they need to learn and grow.
